Committees

High school classes are eligible to participate in the Award.
Each class will be required to:

– read the six novels selected by the pre-selection committee;
– submit a ranking of the novels read to the organizing secretariat by June 30th;
– write short reviews of the novels read, which will then be published on the website.

To participate, the designated teacher must send a request via email to primoromanzo@comune.cuneo.it. Upon receiving the request, the organizing secretariat will provide the class with two complimentary copies of the six competing novels.

The deadline for submitting applications is November 30, 2025.

This way, students, along with other class groups, will help identify their favorite author, whom they can then meet in Cuneo in November as part of the scrittorincittà.
Membership of school reading committees also allows them to participate in the activities offered by the Prize throughout the year.

The collaboration between the Festival du Premier Roman de Chambéry-Savoie and the Città di Cuneo Prize for Primo romanzo has led to the creation of groups of French readers who read, in Italian, the selection proposed by the Città di Cuneo Prize for Primo Romanzo , and groups of Italian readers who read, in French, the selection proposed by the Festival du Premier Roman de Chambéry-Savoie.
