Synopsis

Italy did not lose the Battle of Adwa, and history took a different course. During the Great War, the country remained neutral, Matteotti was prime minister for many years, and Mussolini was now merely a pathetic old minister in the Pella-Fanfani government. It's 1956. In Mekele, the capital of the southern province of the Eritrean Colony, Commissioner Francesco Campani finds himself grappling with a crime that occurred fifty years earlier.
