Perfect story of the mistake

Roberto Mercadini

Storia perfetta dell’errore

Rizzoli

Synopsis

Pietro Zangheri, a paleoanthropologist, loves precision. Whether it's organizing a dinner party or dating a prehistoric artifact, he leaves nothing to chance. He also loves challenging tasks, and in fact dreams of passing the dreaded eighth dan kendo exam. Finally, he loves Selene, a young translator with black eyes and a seemingly fiery complexion: he plans, she disrupts; he measures every move, she plays purely on instinct; he keeps quiet and reflects, she ignites and blazes. When Selene discovers she suffers from a disorder that makes her even more unpredictable, she runs away, convinced that Pietro, obsessed with perfection, cannot be with someone like her. She doesn't know that her man has a strong and patient heart, and already has a plan to win her back: he'll tell her stories of the most wonderful "mistakes" ever made. Like Galileo, who, by pointing his telescope in the wrong direction, managed to see the moon; Or that of Michelangelo, who created his David from a lump of rough, shoddy marble. Because it is precisely from chaos and imperfection that the most beautiful things are born.
