Synopsis

This novel is about gender transition. But not only that. We follow Francesco's story from childhood, with the relationships that will shape his life and accompany him on his journey of self-discovery. A novel that can be very raw, but also full of tenderness and love. Love, like the unconditional love of his grandmother Gioli, like the powerful love for Sara, and like the love, yet to be built, that Francesco feels for himself. What Cicconetti tells us, blending real life with elements of fiction, is a story of individual transformation that, despite its uniqueness, is universal, because it is a metaphor for the struggle we all face to discover who we truly are, and to be that to the fullest.
