Synopsis
Ignacio is a middle-aged man, an exemplary father and husband, and a respected professor. One day, suddenly, he disappears. No one knows where he might have ended up: his ex-wife, his children, and all the people who, in various capacities and to varying degrees, had contact and relationships with him have no idea. Everyone wonders about this disappearance that has shattered a balance. The investigation, the suppositions, the hypotheses, however, stir something in the souls of each of the characters, forcing them to reckon with their existence, with unresolved issues, dark and unspoken sides buried deep within. "What I Am Not Looks Like Me" is a choral, polyphonic novel that makes the relentless pursuit of happiness its narrative and poetics. A novel as vivid and suspended as a Hopper painting, full of characters in whom we cannot help but recognize ourselves and our choices; a vast fresco, precise as a photograph, as broad as a tracking shot of a landscape disappearing into the horizon. In the spiral that will lead each person to their own destiny, someone will be saved.
