Synopsis

Campo dell'Oro, squeezed between the countryside and the sea, is on the outskirts of Civitavecchia, a dangerous, seedy neighborhood. Growing up there means having no prospects: kids live in dilapidated homes, in unhealthy air caused by industrial plants, which corrodes people's souls. To survive, they must fight, steal, and deal drugs, without family and without law. This is why Anna dreams of leaving and has saved up to move to Milan and study at university. But that time is still far away. The present means dealing with the Sorci, a gang of young delinquents who dominate the neighborhood and who have recruited Anna's little brother Simone into their ranks. Since taking him away from certain people is impossible, the only way to protect him will be to join the gang herself, confront her own dark side, and face violence to the extreme. Anything but retreating and bowing her head.
