Synopsis

Julia, her husband, their two children. In a context too difficult to live with, she, a former Moldovan teacher, will attempt to escape by fleeing to Italy, hoping to find work, more dignified living conditions, and perhaps even the possibility of sending financial aid home. When she arrives in Italy, Julia is devastated by what she's leaving behind and terrified of what awaits her, especially when the only prospects are degrading and humiliating. She, who otherwise has a strong personality, proud yet kind, could find herself working as a servant in the home of the rich. And yet... as life begins to settle down, things slowly seem to fall into place, naturally, almost rightly. The people she meets along the way aren't all despicable or aloof. Even far from the warmth of her home and family, Julia will find comfort and understanding. When the pain returns, it will do so through an unexpected channel, precisely from those she thought were much closer. Only her strength as a woman will carry her beyond every obstacle, towards a brighter tomorrow.
