Synopsis
Irma, a university student living away from home, returns to Cividale, her native town near the Slovenian border, for the funeral of her best friend, Alfredo. Ready to leave the following day, she is held back by a series of deaths involving her father, a dear friend, and the ragged, mad poet with whom she forms a filial bond. The poet always seems to know the truth. Against the backdrop of a bridge, known as the Devil's Bridge, Irma seems trapped by a spell cast by the city that prevents her from leaving.
