Synopsis
Carla, a literature teacher at a high school in Turin, narrates this novel. The story centers on the daily struggles the protagonist faces, but above all, the intense and profound relationship she develops with her particularly sensitive and intelligent student, Tanni. A bond develops between them that leads the girl to open up about a difficult family situation: her mother has left, her father has a drinking problem, and a younger brother to care for. And it is only with her that Carla will share a seemingly crazy project, to which she has devoted her time and passion: to let the chickens she raises fly in her backyard.
