Synopsis
The Three-Jeweled Grand Eunuch, commander of the Chinese imperial fleet, on his return from an ocean mission, sends letters to his adopted son by carrier pigeon. The letters, in the limited size imposed by the unusual messengers, are the spiritual testament of an old man about to die, the farewell of a powerful and lonely man. But the Grand Eunuch's health deteriorates daily, as someone aboard the ship makes a devious attempt on his life. Who is the spy hired by the capital's bureaucrats?
