Synopsis

Huan is a wolf cub, and not just any cub: despite his somewhat bizarre appearance, with those overlong ears and overly short muzzle, he knows he was born to be a pack leader, like his father. But when a fire takes his family away, he must fend for himself. At the moment of greatest danger, his life is saved by a mysterious specimen of another species: a female, hairless, who moves objects using strange claws and walks on only two legs. None of his kind in those parts have ever seen a young girl. Yet in that strange creature, Huan glimpses something very familiar, a loneliness that comes from within, a subtle estrangement. The feeling of someone born to change something in the world around him. For a while, the two live together, but when they encounter the Black Cliff Pack, Huan must return to his own kind: not only to save the life of his new friend, but also because nature dictates it so.
