Synopsis
A forty-year-old woman wants to sweep her existential loneliness under the rug by becoming a mother. Her child, intended to be a "happiness pill," turns out to be a bitter, sometimes very bitter, medicine. A disturbing intimacy with a Third World babysitter will severely test her tolerance for the Other. Body to Body reads like a novel but isn't, it may resemble a memoir but isn't, it seems autobiographical but isn't, it seems aimed at a female audience but isn't (entirely) true, quite the opposite..
