Synopsis

There's something viscous about Condominium R39. The stale air is breathtaking. Crossing its threshold is like entering a cage to which only children have the keys. An infirm old biologist obsessed with decay. A young nightclub worker and her boyfriend, devoted to erotic and esoteric practices. A promising former actress whose mind is now haunted by ghosts. A ten-year-old boy oppressed by his mother's morbid affection. They are the tenants of a Milanese building where a violent and seemingly inexplicable act takes place. A commissioner with a dark past and a tormented present is assigned to investigate. Reality unfolds piece by piece, in an increasingly tense atmosphere, until it forms a gothic mosaic that forces the protagonists to confront their true selves.
