Synopsis
Federico Principe is a brilliant young magistrate from Reggio Calabria. He's not afraid to speak his mind against the 'Ndrangheta, and the indictment he delivered during a talk show on a local TV network launches his candidacy for mayor of the city. But things quickly escalate: a party in a seaside villa, a beautiful girl, an evening of alcohol and sex, and then, in the middle of the night, a gunshot and a bloody bed. Federico is convinced he's innocent, but the girl is dying. His guests, overly eager, rush to clear him before the police: it was an accident, they say, and he begins to believe it. But he's forced to step back and move to Rome. Those who believed in him see his choice as a betrayal, just like that of his father Santo thirty years earlier. In Rome, Federico tries to start over: new habits and tests of love, vices and passions to experiment with so as not to be sucked into the hands of the Prosecutor's Office. Until, in the daily investigations into the criminal world, the ghosts of the past resurface.
