Synopsis
A strong woman, a large farmhouse, death, pride, destiny. A story that intertwines three generations of women on the hills of Monferrato: a land worked with toil and dedication where the fruit of the harvest is the life of an entire year. At the end of the 19th century, Catterina, the founder of the family, at just twenty-six years old, after the death of her husband, assumes responsibility for the family and the property and fights against her destiny, determined that her only granddaughter, who bears her name, will continue the family tradition. The wars of the 20th century pass between the rows of these vineyards, as do great social and cultural events. But Catterina's world lives its own wars, its passions, its rituals, its premonitions, sowing the seeds of a family destiny perhaps still buried in that land.
