Synopsis
To feel connected by a deep, innate connection, you don't have to have known each other for a long time. This is what Costanza and Silvia discover when they meet by chance at a work event: in the blink of an eye, they recognize each other and reveal everything about themselves, including their desire to be mothers, which becomes the focus of their conversations. Costanza is thirty-five and in a solid marriage. Silvia is slightly older and recently separated. Within a few months of each other, they both find themselves expecting a child. Their days flow in unison, fueled by the same happiness, the same hopes. Until fate decides to upend every expectation. Pulled in opposite directions, the two friends are forced to look at their lives in the mirror, constantly comparing what is and what could have been. A series of unfathomable coincidences pushes them toward an uncertain future, waiting to be redesigned. Close and distant at the same time, they will experience anger, regret, loneliness, and mistrust, in the necessary attempt to be mothers, despite everything.
