Synopsis

Argentina in 1978 and the World Cup, a group of kids who work in factories by day and gather in a dirt lot at night for surreal soccer games, Dani who continues to think about Manuel, the brother he lost track of in Santiago, Chile, a few years earlier, and the arrival of Luz, the fascinating and mysterious woman whose past has been engraved in her name. And then the story of a promise and a legendary shot that, had it gone in, could have changed everything, the mad rush of the comet, the disappeared from the Escuela Mecánica of Buenos Aires, an unscrupulous fixer, and the birth of a hallucinatory and cruel tournament reminiscent of Borges's Babylonian lottery. It's a photograph, hanging on the wall of a dimly lit room, that unites these events, a truth that drives Dani, a young exile who landed in a remote suburb of the Argentine coast during the dictatorship, to gamble his ghosts in an absurd final gamble. Where what's at stake isn't money, but a destiny.
