Synopsis

In a small town in 20th-century Italy, lives a humble family like many others. Yet its women possess a special gift. The Continis are a family like many others in Valchiara, a small seaside town in central Italy. Well-liked and hardworking, they lead a poor but dignified existence. Then something changes when young Beata, despite her mother's protests, decides to get a job at the Royal Cigar Factory. A mysterious miracle unfolds within her: her abundance, a gift that makes her the darling of her fellow gypsy smokers and the target of the watchful suspicion of the factory inspectors. And after her, her daughter Clarice and granddaughter Antonia will also be blessed and cursed by this prodigy, each in her own way. However, abundance isn't forever; it can disappear at any moment due to great pain. And they will experience much pain, Beata, Clarice, and Antonia, victims of the violence of history but capable of facing and overcoming every difficulty, also thanks to another blessing, the pure and unconditional love of their beloved husbands.
