Synopsis
In the dusty countryside of Agrigento, a story begins through the fortunes of the La Manna family. It spans 1959 and continues for about a decade, from Agrigento to Palermo. It intersects with real people—such as the head of the Flying Squad, Cataldo Tandoy, who died in an ambush passed off as a crime of passion—and draws inspiration from subsequent events—the construction of the Garcia dam, targeted by the Corleonesi and the scene of murders—to tell the story of the genesis of the so-called "mafia bourgeoisie."
