Synopsis

Life sometimes presents us with the same moment. And so it is for Alma and Maria, who discover they are expecting a child within months of each other. They are at different stages of their lives, yet suddenly so similar. And it has always been this way for them: friends since high school, there is no cry that hasn't been consoled, no laugh that hasn't found its echo. Despite the distance and despite the twists and turns of fate. But now comes the news that changes everything. That news that fills us with fear and emotion. Their paths, however, soon diverge: Alma's dream continues month after month, while Maria's is shattered on a cold winter's day. And it is then that the friendship that binds them must tighten its web. It is then that each of them must find the strength to make room for the other, overcoming their own pain or their own joy. Because pain and joy can merge, exchange, surprise. Because we are fragile and strong at the same time, like clay. Alma and Maria discover that expressing everything deep in their hearts is often a difficult task. But it's not like that if we have someone who knows how to listen. Someone who makes us feel as if there's nothing else in the world. Alma and Maria experience firsthand that motherhood is a journey both inside and outside of ourselves. Whatever its outcome. Because there are a thousand infinite ways to be mothers. There are a thousand infinite ways to be friends. There are a thousand infinite ways to be women.
